Which Celestial Storm Pokemon Cards Are Worth Grading?

Rayquaza-GX Secret, Scizor-GX Secret, both Articuno-GX secrets and Lisia Full Art are the Celestial Storm cards worth grading. Only pack-fresh, well-centered copies that can earn a PSA 10 make financial sense.

Grading means a service authenticates the card and scores its condition, with PSA 10 as gem mint. Sun and Moon Celestial Storm launched August 3, 2018 with more than 160 cards. The Pokémon Company International headlined Rayquaza-GX, Articuno-GX, Blaziken-GX, Scizor-GX and Stakataka-GX plus Prism Star Latios, Latias and Jirachi in its launch announcement.

What makes Rayquaza-GX the top target?

CBR's tracker prices raw Rayquaza-GX Secret at about $95 with a $243 market price. CBR lists 187 cards and a $947 total set value. That gap makes Rayquaza the flagship grading target for collectors.

Bulbapedia's secret table narrows the chase to #169-177. The run includes Shiftry, Blaziken, Articuno, Electrode, Mr. Mime, Banette, Scizor, Stakataka and Rayquaza GX. Pull those secrets first and check centering before you consider full arts.

How large is the PSA 10 premium?

PriceCharting lists Scizor-GX #175 at $74.51 raw and $682.66 in PSA 10 in its highest-price tracker. That is roughly a 9x uplift. The jump rewards gem-mint submissions and punishes off-center copies.

PriceCharting also lists Articuno-GX #171 at $60 raw and $355.50 in PSA 10 in its Celestial Storm tracker. It lists Articuno-GX #154 at $32.23 raw and $365 in PSA 10. Cheaper raw cards justify grading only at gem mint.

Do trainer full arts make the cut?

CBR lists Lisia Full Art around $135 raw with a $187 market price. That makes it the set's most valuable raw card. Pack-fresh trainer full arts like Lisia and Steven's Resolve are also grade candidates.

Use the same pack-fresh screen as secrets. Inspect edges and corners under light before you submit. Send only centered, sharp copies with clean surfaces.

When should you skip grading?

Pokemon Price Tracker puts PSA Value at $25-$35 per card in its 2026 ROI guide. It puts the all-in cost at $35-$45 with holders, shipping and insurance. A card must clear that cost before it earns profit.

The same Pokemon Price Tracker guide requires roughly $75-$100 raw value and PSA 10 worth at least 2x raw. It calls for 55/45 centering and sharp corners. Submit only pack-fresh, well-centered secrets and full arts. Sell the rest raw and save fees for cards that can hit PSA 10.

  • $75-$100 raw value or higher
  • PSA 10 worth at least 2x raw
  • 55/45 centering or better
