How we work

Editorial Policy

How we research, fact-check, source, and update the content on this site.

Last updated: May 24, 2026

At PokemonPricing.com we take editorial integrity seriously. This policy explains how we research, write, fact-check, and update the content on our site so that you know exactly what you’re reading and how it was put together.

1. Our Mission

To help Pokemon TCG collectors, investors, and players understand card values, grading, and market trends with clear, accurate, independently produced information. We are not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, PSA, BGS, CGC, eBay, or any marketplace.

2. How We Source Pricing Data

  • Completed and sold listings on major online marketplaces
  • Auction results from established auction houses
  • Grading-company population reports
  • Aggregator sales-history tools used by professional collectors

We focus on sold prices rather than asking prices. When sample size is small or sales are infrequent, we say so. We refresh our data on a regular schedule and after notable market events.

3. Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of any advertiser, affiliate, or commercial partner. We use affiliate links — including the eBay Partner Network — to support the site, but those relationships have no influence on which cards we cover, the prices we publish, or the opinions we share.

4. Fact-Checking and Accuracy

  • Every article is reviewed before it is published.
  • Pricing claims are tied to specific, verifiable marketplace data.
  • Sources are cited or linked wherever appropriate.
  • When we cite a specific sale, we describe its date and condition.
  • We use clear language to distinguish between historical data, current market conditions, and forward-looking opinion.

5. Corrections and Updates

If you spot an error, please let us know. We treat corrections seriously. When we make a meaningful change to a published article, we update it transparently and note the change.

6. AI Assistance

We may use AI tools to help with research, drafting, formatting, and data processing. Every article is reviewed by a human editor before publication. AI is a tool we use to be faster and more thorough; it is not a substitute for editorial judgment.

7. Reader Feedback

If you have a correction, a story idea, or a card you’d like us to cover, please reach out through our contact page.
