That nostalgia drove massive submissions. PSA data for Full Art M Charizard-EX 101 shows 13,041 copies at PSA 9 with 13,370 graded higher, according to PSA Certification Verification in the PSA certificate population record.
High populations keep most grades common. Grading is also expensive relative to card values. TCG.SG reported PSA Value Bulk at 24.99 dollars in February 2026, with Standard and Regular tiers at 59.99 to 79.99 dollars by September 2026, plus shipping and wait times, as detailed in the TCG.SG grading cost guide. Fees quickly erase small gains.
Is Charizard Holo 11/108 worth it?
Charizard Holo 11/108 is the set chase. PokeInvest live data places raw copies around 71 dollars, with PSA 10 guides at 400 to 600 dollars versus 80 to 120 dollars for PSA 9, according to PokeInvest and PokemonPriceTracker in the PokeInvest Charizard price listing. Only centered, mint copies justify the cost.
A PSA 9 barely clears fees after shipping. Off-center edges, print lines, or light whitening make grading a loss. Submit this Charizard only if it looks flawless under light and magnification. Otherwise sell it raw.
Which Mega EX cards make the cut?
M Charizard-EX Full Art 101/108 is the top ultra-rare at about 127 dollars raw. Cardrake 2026 data places it well ahead of M Blastoise-EX Full Art 102/108 at about 70 dollars and Mewtwo-EX Full Art 103/108 at about 47 dollars, according to Cardrake in the Cardrake Evolutions price list. Secondary targets include M Venusaur-EX Full Art 100/108 at about 37 dollars raw, plus Charizard-EX 12/108, Blastoise-EX, and Mewtwo-EX.
These need stronger condition because their raw base is lower. Commons, uncommons, and regular non-holos do not qualify. PreGradeCards notes they lack resale value to cover grading fees.
Why does PSA 10 matter so much?
The price jump sits almost entirely in Gem Mint. PSA estimates place M Blastoise-EX 22 at 147 to 158 dollars in PSA 10, versus about 41 dollars in PSA 9. Populations are also large, with roughly 3,390 to 3,415 copies at PSA 10 and about 4,009 at PSA 9. PokeScope and Zeropop report the same pattern across Evolutions.
PSA 10s often bring three to five times raw value, while PSA 7 and below may not exceed raw. Only cards worth roughly 50 to 80 dollars raw that trade at double raw as PSA 10 deserve review. A PSA 9 on a 30-dollar card is a losing submission. Save grading for cards where a 10 changes the price tier.
