PokéPark KANTO will bring your favorite Pokémon to life next year

PokéPark KANTO is set to open on February 5, 2026, as the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon theme park, located within the Yomiuriland amusement park in Tokyo’s Tama Hills area. This new 2.6-hectare park will bring your favorite Pokémon to life through immersive experiences and attractions designed to make visitors feel as if they are stepping into the Pokémon world itself.

The park is divided into two main areas: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Pokémon Forest offers a nature-filled, immersive environment where guests can walk along a 500-meter path through hills, grass, and tunnels to see various Pokémon in their natural habitats. While the Pokémon here are represented by statues and themed installations, the design aims to create a sense of encountering Pokémon in the wild. The park has also hinted that some Pokémon will be rideable, adding an interactive element to the experience.

Sedge Town, on the other hand, is focused on attractions and shopping. It features a game-accurate Pokémon Center at its entrance, where visitors can purchase exclusive merchandise, food, and drinks. This area includes two main rides: “Pika Pika Paradise,” a Pikachu-themed attraction, and “Vee Vee Voyage,” an Eevee merry-go-round. Additionally, Sedge Town will host parades featuring Pikachu and Eevee, as well as live stage shows at the “Sedge Electric Gym,” providing entertainment that captures the spirit of Pokémon battles and community events from the games and anime.

Tickets for PokéPark KANTO will be available through a lottery system starting November 21, 2025, for Japanese residents, with international ticketing details expected to be announced later. Admission to PokéPark KANTO also grants access to the main Yomiuriland park, allowing visitors to enjoy a broader range of attractions.

This new theme park represents a significant step in bringing the Pokémon universe into the real world, combining natural settings with themed entertainment to create a unique experience for fans of all ages. The park’s design emphasizes immersion and interaction, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who has ever dreamed of exploring the world alongside their favorite Pokémon.

While the park focuses on entertainment and immersive experiences, any medical or health-related considerations for visitors, such as accessibility or safety protocols, will likely follow standard amusement park guidelines. For authoritative information on health and safety in amusement parks, organizations like the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) provide comprehensive standards and best practices to ensure visitor well-being.

PokéPark KANTO promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the Pokémon franchise, blending the magic of the games and anime with real-world exploration and fun, opening a new chapter in how fans can connect with their beloved Pokémon.
